The child of two working artists, I grew up in an atmosphere of creativity and playfulness, always knowing that I would be a working artist.

I studied at Rhode Island School of Design and The School of Visual Arts thinking that I would become a magazine illustrator. Life had a slightly different plan and I spent most of my career in television and the sports documentary world, designing show opens, title sequences and graphics packages.

I've loved my career creating moving pictures but I find that as time goes on, I am more interested in creating lasting images- things you can hang on a wall. My paintings are like friends to me.

While I continue to develop my own body of work the satisfaction of creating a commissioned painting brings me enormous satisfaction. More important than color and form, capturing the personality and character of my subject is the mission.
